Der Tag fing zun\u00e4chst mit herrlichem Wetter an und es sah nach einem sch\u00f6nen Radltag aus. Ziemlich bald merkte ich, dass ich so gar nicht in Form war, die Batterien waren leer… Dennoch lie\u00df ich mich davon nicht beeindrucken und fuhr einfach. Doch schon an der Grenze gab es das erste Problem. Dietrich und ich wollten unsere Bikes an einem Schild mit durchgestrichenen Europasternen ablichten. Als Andenken, dass wir die EU verlassen haben. Da kamen glei zwei bewaffnete Grenzvollpfosten auf uns zu und meinten nicht glatt, dass es verboten w\u00e4r, hier zu fotografieren. W\u00e4ren wir zu Hause, dann w\u00e4r ich ihm erst mal \u00fcbers Maul gefahren und h\u00e4tte ihn aufgekl\u00e4rt, dass es hier bei dem Foto nur um das Symbol auf dem Schild geht und nicht um seinen kleinen Puff daneben, das eh nicht zu sehen ist. (Sieht aus wie ein Dixi-Klo, nur wei\u00df, nebenbei…) In Moldawien traute ich mich das nicht und spielte einen ahnungslosen Touri. Da sagte er noch nebenbei, dass das eigentlich 100 \u20ac Strafe kostet, er aber davon absieht und ob ich Euros dabei h\u00e4tte… In meinem Geldbeutel waren nur ca. 40 Lei aus Rum\u00e4nien. Das w\u00fcrde auch reichen, war seine Antwort! Ich schlauer Fuchs, „F\u00fcr zwei 40?“ Er kullerte mit den Augen und nickte. Als ob das nicht genug w\u00e4re, gab er uns noch einen Rat. Wir sollten hier gut auf Geld und Banditen aufpassen… Ob das ein Witz war? Er war in meinen Augen ein Bandit, auch noch mit einer Waffe! Man kann sich nicht wehren! Diese Pissnelke hat bestimmt Koro. Ich bin immer noch sauer!!!
\nDie andere Sache ist sehr ernst. Meine Rohloff leckt! Ob das der Matsch von gestern war? Jedenfalls werde ich Bike Schmiede M\u00fcnchen Bilder zusenden (euch nat\u00fcrlich auch :-)) und gegebenenfalls das Hinterrad von Odessa zur\u00fcck schicken… Es ist nicht nur das Leck, es h\u00f6rt sich an wie eine Kaffeem\u00fchle… Hoffe nur, dass sie die knappen 200 km h\u00e4lt. Schalten kann ich einwandfrei.
\nJa, ein durchwachsener Tag. Zum Schluss kam ich leicht unterzuckert hier an und wollte nur noch Essen! Die Strecke heut, mit vielen H\u00fcgeln\/Bergen (es waren ja nur max. 300 m), machte ziemlich m\u00fcde. Da fand ich die Karpaten weniger wild, vielleicht nur, weil ich heut einfach von Anfang an leer war…
\nMorgen ist ein Ruhetag angesagt und ich werde ein paar Bilder von der postkommunistischen Stadt machen.<\/p>\n

What a horrible day<\/span><\/p>\n

The day began with wonderful weather and seemed to be perfect for biking. Pretty soon I noticed that I wasn\u2019t so fit, my batteries were drained\u2026 Nevertheless, that didn\u2019t impress me, and so I moved on. However, at the border we encountered the first problem. Dietrich and I wanted to take a picture of our bikes leaning against a sign with the EU stars crossed out. As a memory that we left the EU. Just when we were taking pictures, two armed numbskulled border guards showed up and bluntly told us that it was prohibited to take pictures here. If we had been at home, I would have raked him over the coals and explained to him that we were only interested in the symbol on the sign and not in his little shack next to it that you can\u2019t see on the photo anyway. (It looks like a white Port-A-Potty \u2013 just by the way\u2026). But here in Moldova I didn\u2019t have the guts, and so I pretended to be the clueless tourist. Then he casually mentioned that it usually cost a fine of 100 euros but that he would turn a blind eye on it and asked me if I had euros with me\u2026 There were only 40 lei from Romania left in my wallet. He answered that this would be enough! Clever as I am I asked: \u201cFor two?\u201d He only rolled with his eyes and nodded. As if this wasn\u2019t enough, he gave us a piece of advice: We should keep an eye on our money and watch out for bandits here. Maybe this was a joke? In my opinion, he was one of those, even one with a weapon! And you can\u2019t defend yourself! I bet that dumbass suffers from Koro. I\u2019m still pissed off!!!
\nThe other problem is very serious. My Rohloff leaks! Maybe due to yesterday\u2019s mud? Anyway, I\u2019ll send pictures to the \u201cBike Schmiede M\u00fcnchen\u201d (and to you, of course <\/span>:-)<\/span>) and send the rear wheel back from Odessa if necessary\u2026 It\u2019s not only the leak, it\u2019s sounds like a coffee grinder\u2026 I just hope that it\u2019ll last for the approximately 200 km lying ahead of me. The shift works faultlessly.
\nWell, a day with ups and downs. At the end, I reached my destination slightly hypoglycemic, and I simply wanted food! Today\u2019s route with many hills\/mounts (they were only 300 meters at the highest) made me pretty tired. I found the Carpathians less exhausting. Maybe because my energy level was down from the beginning\u2026
\nTomorrow will be a day of rest, and I will take some pictures of the post-communist city.
