Nachdem mir der Ron entgegen kam und schon f\u00fcr eine \u00dcberraschung sorgte, war das noch nicht alles f\u00fcr den Tag. Am Abend kam auch die Simi an, im Gep\u00e4ck der Simon! Das war schon recht viel an Ereignissen und Emotionen an einem Tag. Irgendwie war’s mir sooooo klar, dass sie nicht alleine kommt. Insgeheim hoffte ich, dass Bubu es sein wird, aber die \u00dcberraschung war auch so wie ein Feuerwerk f\u00fcr mich!<\/p>\n

Zum ersten Mal besuchen mich Freunde auf der Reise! Wir hatten eine Wahnsinns-Zeit\u00a0–\u00a0grillen, Poker spielen und den Palo Duro Canyon wie einst Indianer auf dem Pferd unsicher machen! Mann war das cool!! Es gab immer lecker essen, lecker Tequila, lecker Bier und, und, und… :-)<\/p>\n

In der Zeit bemerkte ich, wie sehr einen das alleine Reisen ver\u00e4ndert. Die Isolation von Familie, Freunden und Vertrauten macht mich sehr zur\u00fcckhaltend und ungew\u00f6hnlich still… Sehr interessanter Zustand, den ich erst jetzt wahrnehme. Wie schleichend und unbemerkt man vereinsamt…<\/p>\n

Hier suchte ich auch einen Zahnarzt auf. Hatte seit \u00fcber einer Woche Zahnschmerzen und die letzten Tage lief nichts mehr ohne Schmerzmittel. Diagnose: eine Entz\u00fcndung… Therapie: Antibiotika… Was f\u00fcr eine Sch….!! Das i-T\u00fcpfelchen war\/ist noch eine allergische Reaktion auf das Medikament, Hautausschlag… Grrr…!<\/p>\n

Es ist mal wieder wortw\u00f6rtlich ein Schlag in’s Gesicht. Aber nach dem, was alles bisher geschah, r\u00fchrt mich das kein St\u00fcck mehr. Im Gegenteil, es geht mit Volldampf weiter!<\/p>\n

N\u00e4chster Halt Nanticoke, Pennsylvania!<\/p>\n

Zum Schluss m\u00f6chte ich noch Kim und Ron f\u00fcr Obhut, Speis, Trank und die tolle Zeit danken! Auch ein Dank an Simi und Simon f\u00fcr den Besuch, es war mehr als eine \u00dcberraschung!<\/p>\n

Sehen uns schon sehr bald wieder!<\/p>\n

In Texas at the Campbell\u2019s!<\/span><\/p>\n

After Ron came towards me and surprised me, that wasn\u2019t all for this day. In the evening, Simi arrived, bringing Simon along! That was quite a lot of happenings and emotions for a day. But somehow it was sooooo clear to me that she wouldn\u2019t come alone. Secretly I hoped she would bring Bubu, however, the surprise was like fireworks to me either way!<\/span><\/p>\n

For the first time, friends have visited me on my journey. We had a blast \u2013 grilling out, playing poker and painting the Palo Duro Canyon red like the Native Americans had done in past times! Man, that was cool!! We always had delicious food, delicious Tequila, delicious beer and, and, and\u2026 :-)<\/span><\/p>\n

During this time, I recognized how traveling alone changes you. The isolation from family, friends and familiar people makes me very reticent and unusually quiet. It is a very interesting state which I realize only now. Growing lonely comes sneaking and unseen\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Here I went to the dentist. For a week now, I\u2019ve had a toothache and in the last days I\u2019ve needed painkillers. Diagnosis: infection\u2026 Therapy: anti-biotic\u2026 Sh\u2026!! The dot on the i was\/still is an allergy to the medicine: a rash\u2026 Grrr\u2026!<\/span><\/p>\n

Literally, it\u2019s a slap in the face. But after all that has happened so far, it doesn\u2019t bother me anymore. Quite the opposite, I\u2019ll continue on full throttle!<\/span><\/p>\n

Next stop Nanticoke, Pennsylvania!<\/span><\/p>\n

At this point I would like to thank Kim and Ron for the shelter, food, drink and the great time! I also\u00a0thank Simi and Simon for the visit, it was more than a surprise!<\/span><\/p>\n
