Nun bin ich seit \u00fcber einer Woche hier und es l\u00e4uft zach… Begab mich bereits letzte Woche am Montag zur U.S. Botschaft, leider kommt man ohne einen Termin gar nicht rein. Also online einen Termin ausmachen, zun\u00e4chst muss man sich schriftlich vorstellen. Es \u00e4hnelt einer Bewerbung samt Lebenslauf, seltsam, aber wohl notwendig. Schlie\u00dflich bekam ich meinen Interviewtermin genannt: der 9. Februar… An dem Tag lass ich meinen Pass da und warte wieder auf mein Visum… Hab schon gewusst, dass die Amerikaner speziell sind, aber dass es so lange dauert…
\nVersuchte den Termin\u00a0zur U.S. Botschaft in Singapur zu verlegen und in der Zeit die knappen 400 km runter zu radl’n, das ging leider nicht. B\u00fcrokratie… Somit sitz ich es aus… Spiele mit dem Gedanken, direkt von hier in die Staaten zu fliegen. Fest vor Augen hab ich meine neue Deadline, die Hochzeit eines Freundes! Es ist machbar, aber ich sollte jetzt mal langsam r\u00fcber und Kilometer fressen!
\nAls ob das nicht schon nicht genug w\u00e4re, sind meine Bargeldreserven verschwunden… 200 \u20ac und 50 $. Es ist kurios, denn sie waren in einem Geheimfach meines Geldbeutels, wo sie nicht rausfallen k\u00f6nnen. Kann mir kaum vorstellen, sie verloren zu haben. Es k\u00f6nnte sein, dass sich die jemand gekrallt hat. Seltsam ist, dass etwa 150 \u20ac in der Landesw\u00e4hrung noch da waren… Einige im Hostel sagten mir, es sei gestohlen und es ist eine Masche, Geld \u00fcbrig zu lassen, um einen den Eindruck zu vermitteln, den Rest verloren zu haben. \nI tried to shift the appointment to the US embassy in Singapore and to cycle the approximately 400 km down there in this short time, but it didn\u2019t work out\u2026 Red tape\u2026 So I have to wait it out\u2026 I\u2019m thinking about flying to the US directly from here. My mind is set on the new deadline: my friend\u2019s wedding! It\u2019s possible, but I really should go to the US and hit the pedals!
\nAs if this wouldn\u2019t be enough, my cash reserves are gone\u2026 \u20ac 200 and $ 50. It\u2019s odd because the money was in a secret pocket in my wallet from where it cannot fall out. I can hardly imagine having lost it. It\u2019s possible that someone has nicked it. Odd that \u20ac 150 in the national currency was still there… Some in the hostel told me that it\u2019s a scam to leave a bit of the money to make the impression to have lost the rest. Anyway.
