Das war mal wieder ein kleiner Schock. Wir wollten zur weltber\u00fchmten Full Moon Party und dort das Neujahr feiern. Auf dem Weg vom Hafen gab es teilweise Steigungen von 20 % – verr\u00fcckt! Nun war alles am Strand \u201eHaad Rin\u201c gnadenlos ausgebucht. Da sahen wir eine kleine Bucht, quasi schr\u00e4g gegen\u00fcber, mit einem Schriftzug \u201eCamp\u201c. Nach kurzen Gespr\u00e4chen mit den Locals war klar, die erreicht man nur mit dem Boot. Wie wahr. Man muss an Dschungel, Fels und Affen vorbei. Es hat nicht lang gedauert, da waren wir mit dem bunten Partyvolk \u00fcberfordert und beschlossen, dort am Camp zu zelten. Die R\u00e4der stellten wir bei der Polizei unter und machten uns auf den Weg. Es hatte einen Touch von der Wies’n. Mordsverhandlungen mit dem Shipmaster vom kleinen Boot. Die Preise schwankten sehr, es war das Event des Jahres und jeder hat nur Kohle im Kopf. Schon bemerkenswert, wie die Gier und Alkohol die Menschen ver\u00e4ndert… Am Camp angekommen, begriffen wir sehr schnell, dass Sirna, ein Russe mit seiner Frau in unserem Alter, Idealisten sind. Ohne gro\u00dfe Mittel, abgeschnitten von der Zivilisation ein solches Projekt zu starten, ist schon sehr gewagt! Dennoch, alter Schwede, Respekt! Ein eigenes Boot w\u00e4re schon eine Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit von den dreisten Bootsfahrern. Um dort wegzukommen, muss man einen gro\u00dfen Pfeil schreiend und pfeifend in die H\u00f6he halten. Wenn man Gl\u00fcck hat, kommt dann auch einer. Am ersten Januar haben wir es den ganzen Tag vergeblich versucht. Am Ende blieben wir noch eine Nacht. Den Rest des Tages machten wir den Strand sauber, die erste gute Tat des Jahres! Trotz aller Schwierigkeiten war das schon was sehr Besonderes, alleine mit dem Paar aus Russland an dem sonst menschenleeren Strand ins neue Jahr zu feiern. Die Musik war gut zu h\u00f6ren und f\u00fcr das Feuerwerk war das quasi die Pole Position! Zur\u00fcck in der Zivilisation waren wir saufroh \u00fcber unseren einsamen Strand der letzten Tage. An der Stelle danken wir dem russischen P\u00e4rchen und dr\u00fccken die Daumen! Die Stra\u00dfen rochen wie Indien in der Mittagshitze, alles total verm\u00fcllt. Viele nehmen ein Andenken mit nach Haus. Zerschnittene F\u00fc\u00dfe durch die vielen Scherben am Strand und Stra\u00dfe. In diesen Momenten vermissten wir Ko Tao sehr und hofften, auf Ko Samui\u00a0\u00c4hnliches zu finden.<\/p>\n

Ko Phangan<\/span><\/p>\n

Again, this was a little shock. We wanted to go to the world-famous Full Moon Party and celebrate the New Year there. On the way to the port there were ditches up to 20% \u2013 crazy! Well, everything on \u201cHaad Rin\u201d Beach was fully booked to the last place. Then we saw a little bay, quasi diagonally opposite, with the letters \u201ccamp\u201d. After shortly talking to the locals it was clear that the bay can only be reached by boat. True enough. You have to pass jungle, rocks and apes. It didn\u2019t take long until we were overstrained by the variegated party folks and decided to camp out in the camp area. We stored our bikes at the police and set off. It was a little bit like the \u201cWiesn\u201d. Tough negotiations with the shipmaster of the small boat. Prices fluctuate very much due to the event of the year and everyone has only money on their minds. Remarkable how greed and alcohol change people\u2026 When arriving at the camp, we quickly realized that Sirna, a Russian, and his wife of our age are idealists. It is very brave to start such a project if you have no large funds and if you are cut off from civilization! Nevertheless old chap, respect! Even an own boat would mean independence from the impudent boaters. In order to leave, you have to hold up high a large arrow, thereby screaming and whistling. If you\u2019re lucky, someone picks you up. On 1 January we tried in vain all day. In the end we stayed another night. The rest of the day we cleaned the beach, the first good deed of the year! Despite all difficulties, it was very special to celebrate the New Year alone with a Russian couple on a usually deserted beach. The music could be well heard and for the fireworks we virtually held the pole position! Back in civilization, we were just happy about our lonely beach of the past days. At this point we thank the Russian couple and keep our fingers crossed for them! The streets smelled like India in the midday heat and everything was clogged with garbage. Many take a souvenir home. Cut feet due to the many broken pieces of glass on the beach and in the streets. In moments like these we missed Ko Tao very much and hoped to find something similar on Ko Samui.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t
