\nBekomme Pipi in den Augen, wenn mich die Nachrichten von der Heimat erreichen. Feiner Powder in den Bergen, gute Stimmung und gute Freunde, die zum Brettl’n aufbrechen… Wie gerne w\u00fcrde ich jetzt bei euch sein…! Brett’l wachsen, wie ein Kind vor Vorfreude kaum schlafen k\u00f6nnen, fr\u00fch morgens an Tee kochen und mit einer super Truppe aufbrechen! Ja, die geilste Zeit des Jahres ist voll im Gange… Wenn es etwas gibt, was ich mehr mag als radl’n, dann ist es brettl’n! Sch\u00f6n im Tiefschnee toben, mittags einkehren, in der Sonne baden und dann noch mal im butterweichen Schnee die Kurven kratzen… Oh man, ihr fehlt mir! Das Einzige, worauf ich gut verzichten kann, ist der furchtbare Sound in den Apr\u00e8s-Ski-H\u00fctten ;-). W\u00fcnsch euch eine super Season!<\/p>\n

Ah ja, Kalkutta, diese Stadt ist mit keiner anderen bisher vergleichbar. Laut, hektisch und chaotisch wie alle, aber diese unbeschreiblich bittere Armut… Es ist auch die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Stadt bisher auf der Reise. Die offizielle Zahl liegt bei ca. 15 Mio. Gesch\u00e4tzt wird aber um die 20! Die Inder haben erst vor Kurzem mit der Registrierung begonnen… Das Stra\u00dfenbild wird durch Kolonialbauten der Briten gepr\u00e4gt. Es scheint, als ob seit dieser Zeit niemand mehr was daran gemacht hat. Hier gibt es eine U- sowie Stra\u00dfenbahn. Somit ist man wesentlich schneller unterwegs als mit Bus oder Tuk-Tuk. Der Verkehr auf der Stra\u00dfe ist eh am kollabieren…<\/p>\n

In Varanasi hab ich mir sagen lassen, dass man in Kalkutta in der Sudderstreet absteigt. Nun bin ich hier in einem g\u00fcnstigen Hostel. Im Schlafsaal ist jedes Bett von Bettwanzen befallen… Nachts ist das ein Kampf gegen diese Viecher. Sie knacken richtig, wenn man sie t\u00f6tet und die, die schon gebissen haben, spritzen Blut… Nach der ersten Nacht wollte ich gleich umziehen, aber andere Hostels haben dieselben Probleme oder sie sind voll. Somit muss ich mit den Wanzen auskommen… Tag zwei und ich machte mal wieder eine neue Erfahrung. \u00dcble Diarrh\u00f6 mit \u00dcbelkeit! Welcome to India, sagte mein Nachbar! Darauf a\u00df ich zwei Tage nichts und verlie\u00df das Hostel nicht. Horrorvorstellungen schossen mir durch den Kopf, wenn die Leute von anderen erz\u00e4hlten, die seit zwei Wochen im Krankenhaus mit Typhus lagen. Ende gut, alles gut, Gl\u00fcck gehabt! Es hat mich jedoch so beeindruckt, dass ich gewisse Konsequenzen zog. Ab sofort ern\u00e4hre ich mich hier nur noch vegan! Trau mich einfach nicht mehr, etwas Tierisches zu essen. Hab keine Lust, die kommenden Wochen aufs Spiel zu setzen.<\/p>\n

Apropos kommende Wochen. Werde am Samstag nach Bangkok fliegen! Mein Bike hab ich bereits zerlegt und in eine Box gepackt. Bubu kommt auch am Samstag nach Bangkok. Wir werden zusammen bis Ko Samui radl’n und dabei Weihnachten und Neujahr verbringen! Juhe! Ich freu mich schon wie ein Schnitzel auf die Zeit!!
\nDie letzten drei Tage in Kalkutta sind auch schon verplant. Morgen werd ich mit Pierre um die H\u00e4user ziehen. Er ist gestern hier angekommen! Saucool!! Am Freitag werd ich im Mutter-Teresa-Haus mitarbeiten. Hab noch keine Ahnung, was da auf mich zukommt und wo ich eingesetzt werde. Hoffe, dass ich mich gut einbringen kann. Bin ja auch ein Sozi in M\u00fcnchen, wenn ich nicht grad Rikscha fahre. Es interessiert mich einfach, wie sie hier organisiert sind und mit welchen Strukturen bzw. Standards sie, im Vergleich zu unseren Einrichtungen, arbeiten. Wie dem auch sei, es wird bestimmt eine super Erfahrung und ich freu mich schon, mit den Bed\u00fcrftigen Freud und Leid zu teilen! Hoffe, ein wenig Energie, Zuversicht und Liebe geben zu k\u00f6nnen. Danach ab ins Bett, der Samstag f\u00e4ngt fr\u00fch an und wird bestimmt wieder voller Ereignisse, Eindr\u00fccke und Emotionen!<\/p>\n

I get tears in my eyes when I hear the news from home. Fine powder snow in the mountains, good spirits and good friends going snowboarding\u2026 I\u2019d like to be with you guys! Waxing the board, being unable to sleep like a child from anticipation, making tea in the early morning and get going with a great group! Yes, the best time of the year is in full swing\u2026 If there is something I like more than biking then it\u2019s snowboarding! Playing around in deep snow, stopping for a bite to eat at noon, bathing in the sun and then cutting the curves in the butter soft snow again…. Oh guys, I miss you! The only thing I can do without is the horrible music at the apr\u00e8s-ski huts <\/span><\/span>;-)<\/span> <\/span>Have a great season!<\/span><\/p>\n

Ah well, Calcutta, this city can\u2019t be compared to any other previous one. Loud, hectic and chaotic like all, but this indescribable poverty\u2026 Also, it\u2019s been the largest city on my journey. The official inhabitant number is 15 million, but it\u2019s estimated to be 20 million! The Indians have just recently begun with the registration\u2026 The street picture is dominated by British colonial buildings. It seems as if no one has done anything to the buildings since that time. There are subways and cable cars. Thus, you\u2019re much quicker than by bus or tuk-tuk. Traffic in the streets is collapsing anyway\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

In Varanasi I was told that in Calcutta you stay in Sudderstreet. Now I\u2019m here in an inexpensive hostel. In the dormitory, every bed is infested by bed bugs\u2026 At night it is a battle against these critters. You can hear them crack when you kill them, and those which already bit, spray blood\u2026 After the first night I wanted to move immediately but other hostels have the same problems or are fully booked. So I have to bear the bugs\u2026 Day two and I again made a new experience. Bad diarrhea with nausea! Welcome to India, my neighbor told me. Following this, I didn\u2019t eat for two days and didn\u2019t leave the hostel either. Horror scenes crossed my mind when people talked about others being in hospital because of typhus for two weeks. In the end everything was fine, I was lucky! But it impressed me so much that I drew certain consequences. From now on I only eat vegan food here! I just don\u2019t dare to eat anything from animals anymore. I\u2019m not in the mood of risking the upcoming weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking of upcoming weeks: I fly to Bangkok on Saturday! I have already disassembled my bike and packed it into a box. Bubu also arrives in Bangkok on Saturday. Together we\u2019re going to cycle to Ko Samui and thereby spend Christmas and New Year together! Yippee! I\u2019m totally anxious about this time!!
\nThe last three days in Calcutta are already fully planned up. Tomorrow I\u2019m going to party out with Pierre. He arrived yesterday! Aces! On Friday I will work at the Mother Teresa House. I have no idea what\u2019s expected of me and which field I\u2019m going to be assigned to. I hope I can make a good contribution. In Munich, I work in the social field as well when I don\u2019t drive a rickshaw. I\u2019m just interested in how they are organized and which structures and\/or standards they use in comparison to our facilities. Anyway, it\u2019s going to be a super experience and I\u2019m already looking forward to share joy and sorrow with those in need! I hope to give a little bit of energy, hope and love. Afterwards straight to bed, Saturday begins early and will surely be full of happenings, impressions and emotions!<\/span><\/p>\n
