Mein Aufenthalt in Wien verl\u00e4ngert sich unfreiwillig um ein paar Tage. Mein Knie hat mich heute Morgen beim versuchten Start nach Bratislava verhindert. Es schmerzte wie Sau! Daraufhin habe ich mir gleich einen Spezialisten auf dem Gebiet in Wien gesucht (man ist ja jetzt Privatpatient :-)). Das war bislang das beste an diesem Tag. Aufgrund des fehlenden Meniskus ist das Knie wegen \u00dcberlastung angeschwollen. Der Doc hat mir Procain gespritzt und mich vorl\u00e4ufig vom Schmerz befreit. Deshalb muss ich nicht nur pausieren, sondern auch eine neue Strategie aust\u00fcfteln. Ich werd meinen H\u00e4nger und etwas vom Equipment zur\u00fccklassen, um ca. 10 kg Ballast abzuwerfen. J\u00fcrgen von Spot nimmt das dann in zwei Wochen mit nach M\u00fcnchen. Das alles h\u00f6rt sich zun\u00e4chst schlimm an, ist aber halb so wild. Damit habe ich schon gerechnet, aber nicht nach den ersten 500 km. Im Endeffekt ist das Gl\u00fcck im Ungl\u00fcck, wenn ich mir vorstelle es w\u00e4re am Arsch der Heide passiert…
\nDas andere ist: Meine Bank hat die Kreditkarte mit einem Limit von 0 Euro versehen. Keine Ahnung, wie das passiert ist. Jetzt verstehe ich auch, warum man die Bank im Volksmund \u201eSpa\u00dfkasse\u201c nennt… Witzig ist das aber nicht!! Heut ist Freitag und man kann bis Montag telefonisch nichts machen \u2013 ist das denn zu fassen?! Zum Gl\u00fcck hab ich noch eine Notfall-Karte, mit der ich den Arzt bezahlen konnte, aber Geld abheben ist nicht drin. In meinem Geldbeutel sind noch vier Euro f\u00fcnfzehn…

\nDen Kopf in den Sand zu stecken, ist aber nicht meine Art. Ich sehe das als die erste H\u00fcrde. Schlie\u00dflich stehe ich nicht unter Zeitdruck.\u00a0So\u00a0gibt’s dann eben eine Woche weniger am Strand :-).

English:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Misfortunes seldom come singly\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n Unintentionally, I have to stay a few days longer in Vienna. My knee prevented me from cycling to Bratislava this morning. It hurt like hell! Thereupon, I went to a knee specialist in Vienna (thanks to private insurance for medicare :-)). This was the highlight of the day. Due to the missing meniscus, the knee is swollen because of overstrain. The doctor shot me up with Procaine and thus relieved the pain temporarily. Therefore, I don\u2019t only have to take a break, but also figure out a new strategy. I will leave my hanger and some of the equipment behind to lighten my travel weight by 10 kg. J\u00fcrgen from the Spot company will take it back to Munich in two weeks. All this sounds more upsetting than it actually is. I\u2019ve expected that, but not after the first 500 km. \nThe other thing is: My bank set the limit of my credit card to 0 Euros. I have no idea how that had happened. But now I understand why people call this bank \u201cspare time bank\u201d\u2026 But it\u2019s not funny!! Today is Friday, and until Monday I can\u2019t do anything via telephone \u2013 can you believe it?! But luckily, I have an emergency credit card with which I could pay the doctor but I can\u2019t withdraw any money. And I only have 4.15 Euros left in my wallet\u2026
\nI\u2019m just happy that I can stay at Tommy\u2019s, otherwise all this would really suck!
\nAs you can imagine, my ego is pretty bruised. My knee is messed up, I have no money, and I\u2019m stuck here in Vienna\u2026
\nBut burying my head in the sand is not my way. I regard this situation as the first obstacle. After all, I don\u2019t have any pressure timewise. Then I will spend a week less on the beach :-).
