Die Umst\u00e4nde erfordern mal wieder einen neuen Plan. Da alles, aber auch alles anders kam wie gedacht, muss ich jetzt flexibel sein. Das eine ist, hab viel mehr Geld ausgegeben, als ich es f\u00fcr m\u00f6glich gehalten habe… Es ist noch lang nicht kritisch, aber notwendig, was zu unternehmen, um die Reise zu vollenden. Es gibt viele Ursachen daf\u00fcr: Hochwasser in Osteuropa, das Preisniveau der L\u00e4nder, insbesondere Kasachstans, aber vor allem meine Disziplin… Das andere ist, es kann kaum komplizierter sein, mit dem Rad nach und durch Tibet zu reisen.<\/p>\n

Um meine Reisekasse zu amortisieren, werde ich am 18. August mit Bubu zur\u00fcckfliegen und bis zum Ende der Wiesn arbeiten. Mein R\u00fcckflug nach Almaty ist am 5. Oktober. Es ist zwar sau seltsam, nach drei Monaten wieder heimzukommen, aber eine bessere M\u00f6glichkeit gibt es nicht. Ideen wie Reiseberichte und Fotos an Zeitungen zu verkaufen sind reine Fantasie. Da m\u00fcsste ich schon nackt auf einem Einrad am Nordpol rum radl’n, um interessant zu sein… Des Weiteren w\u00e4re wohl auch die Konsequenz, diese Seite vom Netz zu nehmen, da die Storys und Bilder dort frei zug\u00e4nglich sind… Also Rikscha fahren! Ganz ehrlich, es w\u00e4r ein dickes Problem im kommenden Fr\u00fchling, wenn ich nicht auf Unterst\u00fctzung vom Joscha, Dominic und Frank von Rikscha Mobil z\u00e4hlen k\u00f6nnte! Ich mein, es gibt keine Probleme, nur L\u00f6sungen! Jetzt wei\u00df auch jeder, der mich nicht kennt, warum ich a Bazi bin… Andererseits freue ich mich schon, viele von euch wieder zu sehen. Es wird mir gut tun, um nicht zu entfremden.<\/p>\n

Das mit China ist nicht nur kompliziert, es kann auch teuer werden. Der Plan, \u00fcber Kirgisistan zu fahren, ist auch schon Schnee von gestern. Erstens, nach meiner R\u00fcckkehr w\u00fcrde die Zeit nicht mehr reichen, in Tibet wird’s langsam frisch… Zweitens, dieser Konflikt dort, den man wie alle anderen auf das menschliche Ego reduzieren und nur schwer einsch\u00e4tzen kann. Es soll sich beruhigt haben, aber wem kann man da schon glauben? Vor ein paar Wochen lernte ich eine Familie aus Kirgisistan kennen, die auf der Flucht war. Sie erz\u00e4hlten von einem Panzer, der in der Nacht ins Dorf gefahren ist und seine Munition dort verschossen hat. Menschen, die sich aus den H\u00e4usern retteten, hat er mit dem MG verfolgt… Ich denke heute noch oft \u00fcber diese Familie und die Umst\u00e4nde nach. Sie hat das Lachen nicht verloren. Eine freundliche Art und positive Ausstrahlung, die mich heut noch beeindruckt. Was f\u00fcr ein Optimismus!! Zur\u00fcck zu China. Dass sie gesch\u00e4ftst\u00fcchtig sind, wissen wir alle. Dass sie aber schon an der Grenze einem die Hosen ausziehen ist schon dreist… Es ist nicht m\u00f6glich, weder \u00fcber den Torugart-Pass in Kirgisistan noch \u00fcber Khorgos in Kasachstan mit dem Rad einzureisen. Wenn man dort trotzdem antanzt, dann fahren sie einen aus Begeisterung in die n\u00e4chste Stadt! Diese Gastfreundschaft kostet nur 250-300 $, je nachdem, wo man einreist… Somit werde ich mit dem Zug bis Xining fahren und dort mein Visum auf acht Wochen verl\u00e4ngern. In Xining wird sich auch kl\u00e4ren, wie man durch Tibet kommt. Laut meinen Recherchen muss ich einer Reisegruppe beitreten oder selbst eine gr\u00fcnden, um \u00fcberhaupt eine Genehmigung f\u00fcr Lhasa zu bekommen… Ein Permit f\u00fcr ganz Tibet gibt es wohl nicht. Zumindest kommt man schon nach Lhasa! Hochradl’n ist aber auch nicht drin, denn am ersten Checkpoint schicken sie einen trotz Genehmigung zur\u00fcck. Seit dem die Bahn fertig gestellt worden ist, besteht keine andere Alternative mehr. Fr\u00fcher fuhren da noch Busse. Sobald ich Lhasa Richtung Nepal verlasse, bin ich illegal unterwegs… Laut zwei Berichten aus dem vergangenen Jahr kommt man da schon durch. Das Einzige, was zu beachten ist, nirgends ein Zimmer zu nehmen! Falls ihr irgendwelche Infos habt, die hilfreich sein k\u00f6nnten, dann nur her damit!

So und jetzt zu Almaty. Eine richtige Metropole ohne Altstadt… Es ist ein Mix zwischen derbem Kapitalismus und einem Charme von UdSSR. Alles andere k\u00f6nnt ihr auch bei Wiki lesen. Die Berge unmittelbar vor der Stadt sind aber das Beste! Der Pik Talghar mit seinen 5.017 m, den man von \u00fcberall sehen kann, ist einfach nur m\u00e4chtig. Die n\u00e4chste Bekanntschaft, die mir den Arsch rettet, ist Yaroslavna. Dank ihr kann ich auch hier ein paar Tengi sparen und erfahre eine Menge \u00fcber Stadt und Leute. Einfach Klasse! Ohne Unterst\u00fctzungen dieser Art w\u00e4ren Aufenthalte in St\u00e4dten ziemlich sch… Es ist auch immer wieder eine richtige Freude, Leute aus der eigenen Generation kennen zu lernen. Zu merken, dass uns viel mehr verbindet als uns trennt! Diese Bekanntschaften lassen einen wie zu Hause f\u00fchlen. Nun komme ich bald nach Haus und werd bis zur Wiesn Stadtrundfahrten machen. Also, jeder der seine Heimat noch nicht so richtig kennt, dem kann bei Rikscha Mobil geholfen werden! Nur ran, mia ham stramme Wadl’n und brauchen das Geld! ;-)<\/p>\n

Once again, the circumstances make a new plan necessary. Since everything, really everything, came different than I thought, I need to be flexible now. On the one hand, I spent more money than I had thought was possible\u2026 Yet, it\u2019s not critical, but necessary that I do something about it to complete the journey. There are many causes for it: floods in Eastern Europe, the price level of the countries, in particular of Kazakhstan, but all above all my discipline… On the other hand, it could not be more complicated to cycle to and through Tibet.<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to refill my travel funds, I\u2019m going to fly back with Bubu on 18 August and work until the end of the Oktoberfest. My return flight to Almaty is on 5 October. Although it\u2019s totally odd to go home after three months, there is no better alternative. Ideas like writing travel reports and selling pictures to newspapers are mere phantasy. To be of interest, I would have to cycle naked with a unicycle to the North Pole\u2026 Moreover, I would have to take this site off the net as a consequence because the pictures and the stories are freely accessible\u2026 This means driving Rickshaw! Honestly, it would be a huge problem the next spring if I can\u2019t rely on the support by Joscha, Dominic and Frank from Rikscha Mobil! I mean, there aren\u2019t problems but only solutions! Now everybody, who knows me, knows why I\u2019m a \u201cbazi\u201d\u2026 And moreover, I\u2019m looking forward to seeing many of you again. It will do me good in order not to become estranged.<\/span><\/p>\n

The thing with China is not only complicated, it can also get expensive. The plan to cycle over Kyrgyzstan is already water under the bridge. Firstly, after my return there wouldn\u2019t be enough time as in Tibet it\u2019s gradually getting cool\u2026 Secondly, the conflict there which you can reduce to the human ego as all others and which is hard to evaluate. It\u2019s said to have calmed down, but who can you believe? A few weeks ago I got to know a family from Kyrgyzstan, who was fleeing. They told me about a tank that was driving into the village at night and blew out all its ammunition there. People who saved themselves out of the houses were chased by the machine gun\u2026 Today, I still think of this family and the circumstances often. They didn\u2019t lose their laughter. An amicable and positive charisma that still impresses me. What optimism!! Back to China. We all know that they are busy bees. But that they take you to the cleaners already at the border is impudent\u2026 It is not possible to enter China by bike via the Torugart Pass in Kyrgyzstan or via Khorgos in Kazakhstan. If you show up nonetheless, then they drive you to the next city out of enthusiasm! This kind of hospitality only costs $250-300, depending on where you enter the country\u2026 Therefore, I\u2019m going to Xining by train and extend my visa to eight weeks there. In Xining I\u2019ll figure out how to get through Tibet. According to my research, I have to join a travel group or to found one myself to get permission for Lhasa\u2026 There doesn\u2019t seem to be a single permission for the whole of Tibet. But at least you get to Lhasa! Cycling up to Lhasa is not an option either because despite permission, they send you back at the first checkpoint. Since the tracks were completed, there has been no other alternative. In the past there were buses going there. As soon as I leave Lhasa towards Nepal, I\u2019m an illegal traveler\u2026 According to two reports from last year, it\u2019s possible to get through. The only thing you need to keep in mind is not to rent a room anywhere! If you have any information that could be helpful, then give it to me!

And now to Almaty. A true metropolis without a historic center\u2026 It\u2019s a mix between rough capitalism and the congeniality of the USSR. Everything else about it can be read on the Wikipedia site. The best about it are the mountains right in front of the city! The Pik Talghar with its 5,017 meters, which can be seen from everywhere, is simply impressive. The next acquaintance that saves my ass is Yaroslavna. Thanks to her, I can save a few Tengi and get to know a lot about the city and the people. Simply super! Without such support the stays in the cities would be pretty sh\u2026 Over and over, it\u2019s a real pleasure to meet people of my age, and to realize that there are more things connecting than separating us! These acquaintances make you feel at home. Now I\u2019m home soon and going to work as a rickshaw tour guide until the Oktoberfest begins. Having said this, everyone who doesn\u2019t know his surroundings well enough, Riskscha Mobil is happy to help! Come on people, we have killer calves and need the money! <\/span>;-)<\/span><\/p>\n
