Kalm\u00fcckien, die einzige buddhistische Republik Europas! Dementsprechend der erste Kulturschock. Hatte damit in Russland nun wirklich nicht gerechnet. Die Stadt Elista ist \u00fcberwiegend asiatisch bev\u00f6lkert; Nachkommen des Dschingis Kahn. Was soll ich sagen… Ist das das Tor zu Asien??<\/p>\n

Zugleich lernte ich hier Jean Pierre aus der Schweiz kennen. Er radelt nach Tibet! Bin einfach \u00fcberw\u00e4ltigt von der Stadt und der Bekanntschaft! Pierre ist mit seinem MTB unterwegs und hat so seine Pannen. Am Kettenblatt ist ein Zahn abgebrochen, die Reifen sind durch und mit seinem Gaskocher kommt er hier auch nicht mehr weit. Da bin ich mal wieder sehr froh \u00fcber meinen Panzer aus der M\u00fcnchner Bike Schmiede! Denn eigentlich wollte ich auch mit meinem MTB fahren… Nun wartet er auf ein Versorgungspaket aus der Heimat mit den n\u00f6tigen Ersatzteilen.<\/p>\n

Ich nutze die Pause hier, um meine Klamotten zu waschen und meinen Allerwertesten zu erholen (hab mir einen Wolf gefahren…), sowie viele Bilder zu machen. Spiel noch mit dem Gedanken, auf Pierre zu warten und ein paar Tage mit ihm zu fahren… Zugleich machte er mir Mut, was die Einreise nach Tibet angeht. Es gibt da auch einen Weg \u00fcber Kirgisistan, den er fahren wird!<\/p>\n

In dem Sinne wird es absolut nicht langweilig und ich freu mich schon, in ein paar Tagen im Kaspischen Meer zu baden!<\/p>\n

At the same time I met Jean Pierre from Switzerland. He\u2019s cycling to Tibet! I\u2019m simply overwhelmed by the city and this acquaintance! Pierre is on the way with his mountain bike and has his technical difficulties. A cog broke from the chain ring, the tires are worn out and he won\u2019t make it very far with his gas cooker. In such moments I\u2019m glad that I have a \u201ctank\u201d made by the Bike Schmiede! Because originally, I wanted to go with my mountain bike\u2026 Now he\u2019s waiting for a care package from home with the necessary spare parts.<\/span><\/p>\n

I use the break here to wash my clothes and to give my behind a rest (I cycled it literally off), and to take some pictures. I\u2019m thinking of waiting for Pierre and cycling with him for a few days\u2026 At the same time he encouraged me concerning the entry into Tibet. There\u2019s a way through Kirgisistan he is going to take!<\/span><\/p>\n

Having said this, it won\u2019t get boring at all, and I look forward to swim in the Caspian Sea in a few days!<\/span><\/p>\n
