Es tat gut, zur\u00fcckzufliegen und Abschied zu nehmen, auch wenn es noch ziemlich nachhallt und ich nur schwer aus dem Loch komme… Verliere grad den Sinn der Reise. Ich mein, alles, was ich sch\u00e4tze und liebe, ist daheim. Was mach ich hier also?? W\u00e4r es nicht besser, sich auf das zu besinnen?? Hab ich den Bezug zur Realit\u00e4t verloren?? Mehr denn je hab ich seit der R\u00fcckkehr Heimweh… Dementsprechend ist auch die Motivation im Moment…<\/p>\n

Die F\u00e4hre aus Odessa hab ich genommen um zwei, drei Tage einzusparen und bei der Gelegenheit die Krim zu sehen. Allein die Landschaft hier best\u00e4tigt, dass es eine gute Entscheidung war! Die \u00dcberfahrt hatte auch was Tiefsinniges. Zum ersten Mal verbrachte ich eine Nacht auf einem Schiff. Dort war grad die D\u00e4mmerung, bei der sich der Himmel und das Wasser farblich anglichen und es pl\u00f6tzlich linksrum nur schwarz war. Ein Grund, um am n\u00e4chsten Tag den Sonnenaufgang nicht zu verpassen! Das war das Beste an der \u00dcberfahrt! Ganz allein an Deck um halb f\u00fcnf morgens, das Meer still und es wird hell, einfach atemberaubend!<\/p>\n

In Sevastopol traf ich Raph, den ich schon in Odessa kennen gelernt hab. Ein Radreisender aus Paris, der nach Japan radelt und dabei einen Film \u00fcber Konflikte macht (bald kommt sein Link auf die Seite). Wir hatten einen coolen Tag in Sevastopol. Es tat gut, mit einem Gleichgesinnten zu quatschen. Unsere Wege trennten sich auch dort, denn er bleibt noch, um ein paar Interviews zu machen. Eins vorweg, der Geheimdienst hat von seiner Arbeit Wind bekommen… Ich dr\u00fcck ihm die Daumen!! In Frankreich kommt er mir entgegen, um mich durch sein Land zu begleiten!<\/p>\n

Im Moment bin ich in Jalta und die Bergetappe gestern hatte es in sich. Seit zwei Wochen der erste Tag und glei 1.500 hm. Daf\u00fcr entsch\u00e4digt die bezaubernde Landschaft und nach jedem Aufstieg kommt auch die Abfahrt! Die ist zwar viel schneller als der Aufstieg, aber einfach super, wenn das Gewicht einen auf 60 Sachen beschleunigt! So gar nicht mit unserer Leistungsgesellschaft kompatibel. Da z\u00e4hlt nur der Aufstieg! Immer weiter, immer schneller, immer h\u00f6her… Und wof\u00fcr?? An der Stelle m\u00f6chte ich meine Mutter zitieren: \u201eDu kamst nackt auf die Welt und wirst sie auch nackt verlassen!\u201c<\/p>\n

Mir geht es unter die Haut bei den Beobachtungen, die ich hier in der Ukraine mache. Waren es noch in Rum\u00e4nien Zigeuner, die bettelten, sind es hier haupts\u00e4chlich nur Menschen mit k\u00f6rperlichen Einschr\u00e4nkungen und Rentner, die wohl keine andere Wahl haben. Ein wenig be\u00e4ngstigend, wenn ich da an unsere soziale Entwicklung denke…<\/p>\n

Wie dem auch sei, ich lass es morgen wieder rollen und hoffe, dass der Petrus milde sein wird. Die Hitze und der h\u00e4ufige Platzregen hier machen es nicht einfach.<\/p>\n

The Crimea<\/span><\/p>\n

It felt good to fly back and to say farewell, even if it still echoes and I have a hard time picking myself up\u2026 At the moment I don\u2019t know if the journey makes any sense. I mean, all I appreciate and love is at home. So what am I doing here??? Wouldn\u2019t it be better to focus on that? Have I lost my grip on reality? More than ever I\u2019ve felt homesick since the return. Accordingly, this is reflected in my motivation at the moment\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

I took the ferry from Odessa to save two or three days and to see the Crimea at that chance. The landscape alone confirms that this was a good decision! The crossing also had something profound. For the first time I spent a night on a ship. It was twilight then, at which the sky and water adjusted in terms of color, and suddenly it was only dark all around. A reason not to miss sunrise the next day! That was the best during the crossing! I was all alone on deck at 4:30 in the morning, the sea was quiet and it was getting bright outside. Simply awesome!<\/span><\/p>\n

In Sevastopol I met Raph who I had met back in Odessa. He\u2019s a biker from Paris cycling to Japan and making a movie about conflicts (his link will be added to my page soon). We had a good time together in Sevastopol. It was good talking to someone like-minded. Our ways separated there because he stays a bit longer to make some interviews. One thing ahead: The intelligence service got wind of his work\u2026 I keep my fingers crossed for him!! He\u2019s going to meet me on my way through France to accompany me through his country!<\/span><\/p>\n

Now I\u2019m in Jalta, and yesterday\u2019s mountain stage was a hard piece of work. It has been the first day in two weeks and I covered 1,500 meters in altitude. But the captivating landscape makes up for it, and after every climb it\u2019s going downhill! Although this is much faster that going uphill, it\u2019s just great if your weight accelerates you to 60 kilometers per hour! But this isn\u2019t conform to our meritocracy at all, where going up is the only thing that matters! Always further, always faster, always higher\u2026 But for what?? At this point I\u2019d like to quote my mother: \u201cYou were born naked and you\u2019ll leave this world naked!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

What I observe here in the Ukraine really touches me. In Romania it was the gipsies begging, and here it\u2019s mainly people with handicaps and retirees who don\u2019t have any other chance. This is a bit frightening when I think of our social development\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

Anyway, I keep on moving tomorrow, and I hope that Petrus is mild. The heat and the frequent cloudbursts don\u2019t make it easy.<\/span><\/p>\n
