Tag Drei
Seitdem ich allein unterwegs bin, fallen mir bestimmte Dinge auf; z.B. diese österreichischen Maibäume, die sehen so nackt aus… Man sollte eine bayerische Delegation gründen und den Nachbarn ein wenig unter die Arme greifen! Oder der Nikotin-Geruch beim Essen grr…! Die Mentalität ist wie bei uns, mehr sog i ned…
Das Wetter ist ziemlich durchwachsen. Gestern bin ich noch ca. 4 Std. im Regen gefahren (passte auch gut zur meiner Stimmung) und heut war’s zwar bedeckt, aber super angenehm.
Kaum an der Donau angekommen, lernte ich in Linz die ersten Freaks kennen. Zwei Schotten sind einfach mal so auf’m Weg nach Budapest… Vielleicht treffe ich sie wieder, wer weiß. Der Donau-Radweg kommt mir eh wild vor, grad eben fuhr einer mit einer England-Fahne auf seinem Hänger vorbei. Der schenkte mir und meiner weiß-blauen Fahne keine Beachtung – klar. Dieses Inselvolk…
Nun werde ich meine Beine mit der Pferdesalbe vom Charly einschmieren und schlafen. Übrigens für alle Sportler, Pferdesalbe ist echt sau guad! Danke Charly!

Day Three
Since I’ve been on the road alone, I’ve noticed certain things, e.g. these Austrian maypoles look rather naked… A Bavarian delegation should be founded to help our neighbors out a little bit! Or the smell of nicotine while you have something to eat, grr…! Their mentality is like ours, I won’t say more…
The weather is quite unsettled. Yesterday I was cycling in the rain for roughly four hours (matched my mood), and today it was cloudy but very pleasant. I had just arrived at the Danube when I met the first freaks in Linz. Two Scots are on their way to Budapest… Maybe we’ll meet again, you never know. The Danube bikeway seems to be rather wild anyway; someone with a Union Jack on their hanger has just passed by. And they didn’t pay attention to me nor to my white blue flag – of course not. These island dwellers…
Now it’s time to use some of Charly’s horse liniment for my legs and then go to sleep.Here’s a tip for all athletes: horse liniment is really good! Thanks, Charly!
